Mukhi Gobindram with Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru

Going through some old family albums one balmy afternoon in Bombay unearthed some beautifully aged sepia tone photographs. Curiosity peaked, I decided to delve deeper into the origins of these pictures and their ancestry.
Several futile attempts to try and piece together some semblance of a coherent record met with only cursory success. I realized that I was only scratching the surface, and would have to delve much deeper to uncover the history and origins of the family.
Some years later I decided to have another go. Only this time I had the power of the internet behind me. This magical vortex of information from which, with careful and patient persistence, one can garner such wonderful insight.
So armed with enough knowledge of my roots, I begin to record some of the facts onto a family diary, I have decided to use the medium of cyber space to spread the word.
The reason for this endeavor is simply to connect with other members of our clan, to update the family tree and to have others share their experiences and that of their families with us.
Hoping to hear from all of you out there. Welcome to our world.
